The Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association (GCAA) is an organization of Christian home schooling families established to support and encourage Christian character, ethics and leadership through participation in athletic activities.
Providing competitive sports to home schooled athletes.
The Cabarrus Rowan Stallions began in 2002 under the covering and support of the Cabarrus County Home School Association with the dream and vision of a couple of home schooling fathers. The first year baseball was offered, seven years later the program has expanded to cover five sports (baseball, basketball, softball, volleyball, and cheerleading) and this year boys and girls soccer is being added. We also work closely with the Stallions Pioneer Football League. Each year we trust the Lord to provide coaches, players, finances and facilities for practices and games. Due to the expansion of the program The Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association was formed in 2009 to provide a governing body for all the sports teams and to obtain 501c3 status. With the 501c3 status each sport will be able to raise funds for expenses and ultimately GCAA will have its own athletic facility.
